I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
